Dutch hat-trick in Rotterdam

For the third time in a row, the hosts from The Netherlands came out on top at the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ 2023 Europe Division 1 leg in Rotterdam (NED) today. Fantastic performances from Jur Vrieling (Long John Silver 3 NOP), Leopold van Asten (VDL Groep Iron Z) and Maikel van der Vleuten (O’bailey vh Brouwershof) were topped up by a superb double-clear from Harrie Smolders (Monaco NOP) to clinch it on a final tally of six faults.

Team Ireland chased them right to the line and finished second with eight on the board, and in a high-scoring competition it was Germany who finished third, sharing a 24-fault scoreline with France but squeezing them down to fourth when separated by time.
